Overview

The 黑料社 (TEA) is committed to supporting school systems in strengthening the safety and security of school facilities for students, staff, and visitors. This To the Administrator Addressed announces the Safe and Supportive Schools Program (SSSP) data collection timeline for the 2025-26 school year.

Safe and Supportive Schools Program

In accordance with , school boards must establish a threat assessment and safe and supportive school program team for each campus. These teams must conduct threat assessments that include assessing and reporting individuals who make threats of violence or exhibit harmful, threatening, or violent behavior. Teams are required to report information regarding their activities to the TEA.

Reporting will begin on Monday, June 1, 2026, and will conclude at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2026. Each school system is responsible for ensuring that SSSP data is reported for each campus by the deadline. School systems are encouraged to review the collection preview prior to final submission in Sentinel.

The Office of School Safety and Security will host SSSP reporting webinars on the following dates/times: 

  • April 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
  • May 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
  • May 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
  • June 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.

Registration information will be posted in Sentinel and can also be accessed using the link.

Webinars are intended exclusively for staff of Educational Service Centers, Independent School Districts, and Open Enrollment Charter Schools. Registrants must use a valid work email address that is associated with a Zoom account for authentication and verification purposes. If you do not already have a Zoom account, you may create one at no cost via .

As a reminder, to support SSSP reporting at the campus level, Campus Admin roles in Sentinel enable campus-level reporting, user management, and campus administrative functions.
